Cross Country Ski Racing
Melbourne Nordic members participate in cross country ski racing. See the Australian Cross Country Ski Racing calendar.
Some members compete in interclub races. Others compete in Citizen Races, such as the Kangaroo Hoppet, Australia's ski race marathon.

Lake Mountain Mini-Series
Melbourne Nordic members, together with Mount Bullfight Ski Club, participate and help organise the Lake Mountain Mini-Series, a series of three ski events for junior skiers.

Mt Stirling Silver Ski Race: August
Melbourne Nordic is again involved in the running of that long-standing ski event - The Stirling Silver.
As co-organisers of the race, Melbourne Nordic are seeking both Race Participants and Volunteers to help with the running of the race.

Hoppet/Birkebeiner/Joey: August
The Hoppet is Australia's marathon ski race. The races are held at Falls Creek on Saturday.
Joey - 7km; Birkebeiner - 21km and; Hoppet - 42 km
Club members enter according to their ability, fitness and/or energy. Use this fun race as a motivator to get fit.
MNSC also staffs a drink station, usually in fancy dress. This is another option for less energetic members and a hilarious time is had by all. The drink stations are a welcome sight for the participators so you will be much appreciated if this is your choice.
