Our site
We have aimed to design this site for the visitor's ease of use. We have leant our energies to providing quality Content, a user friendly Navigation system and fast Page loading times. Let us know if you have any improvements to suggest.

The Site mostly avoids many popular advanced web technologies, to remain as widely accessible as possible. Where access may be problematic for some users, we have tried to minimise inconvenience. For example, warning of large file sizes.

Screen resolution
This Site is best viewed at 800 x 600 ppi screen resolution.

External links
Links to other web sites will open in a new Browser window. The Melbourne Nordic web site will still be open in the old window, although sometimes this can be hidden behind the new (external link) one.

To close the new (external link) window, and return to the Melbourne Nordic site, click in the 'close box' in the top left corner of the browser window. (see image below)

Adobe acrobat files
Some downloadable documents are in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format.
To download the documents, select 'File menu / Save As...', after they open in your browser.

If you don't have the Adobe Acrobat Viewer, download a free copy here. (approx. 5Mb)

Adobe Acrobat instructions
A. If you have the Acrobat (pdf) Viewer installed on your computer as a web browser PLUG-IN (it comes with most recent browsers), the file will either:
 i) open in your browser automatically. Use the browser's 'Back' button to return to the web page you were on.
ii) open in the Acrobat Viewer. Close the file to return to the web page.

To download a document to your computer after it opens in your browser, select 'File menu / Save As...'.

B. If you don't have the PLUG-IN version of the Viewer, the file will download to your computer (select 'Save as..' when prompted). You can then open it using the Acrobat Viewer (just click on the file).

Printing Acrobat files
Acrobat (.pdf) files use Postscript technology, which means they will print easily on Laser printers and other Postscript enabled printers.

If you have problems printing a document on home inkjet printers, a solution is to print a few pages at a time. Tedious, but it works! The more space free on your Hard Drive, the more pages it will print at one go.
